Choosing who gets it
- Open the questionnaire and choose Send survey.
- Narrow the list by any contact field with Filters, or pick one of your saved views.
- Search by name or email and tick the people you want, or use Select all for the whole filtered set.
- Optionally link the send to a deal or a project, so the responses show up on that record.
- Send. Each person receives their own link.
Every link belongs to one person
A per-person link identifies exactly one contact. That is what lets PULSE show you who has opened it, who is part-way through and who has finished, put each response on the right timeline, and let someone close the page and come back later without losing anything.
What each state means
- Sent — the email went out and has not been opened.
- Opened — they opened the link and did not finish. These are the people most worth a nudge: they were interested enough to look.
- In progress — they answered some questions and their answers are saved. They can pick up where they left off.
- Responded — submitted.
- Screened out — routing ended their questionnaire early. Counted as returned, because you got your answer.
- Bounced / Failed — delivery never landed. These need a different address, not a reminder.
- Unsubscribed — the address is on your suppression list, and PULSE will not mail it.
Sending to someone you have already sent to
You are told before you send, not after. Anyone already in play is badged in the picker — Answered, In progress, Opened or Sent — and the footer says how many of your selection will be skipped and how many will simply get their existing link again. The Send button counts only the people who will actually be mailed, so it will read "Send to 0" if everyone you picked is already done.
What a second send actually does
- Already answered — refused. Their response stands, and mailing them again invites a second one that contradicts the first.
- Sent, opened, or part-way through — they get the same link again, and everything they had already filled in is still there. Nothing is reset and they do not appear twice in your counts.
- Bounced, failed or unsubscribed — treated as a fresh send, because the last attempt never reached anybody.
Unsubscribes are honored
PULSE never mails an address on the suppression list, and every survey email carries the unsubscribe footer that commercial mail requires. A suppressed send is still recorded, so your recipient list shows you why that person is never going to answer.
