Contacts & companies

The universal record and how people link to organizations.

The universal record

Every contact opens to one timeline that interleaves everything that has happened — emails (with open/click status), calls, notes, documents (sent/viewed), tasks, and lifecycle stage-changes — next to the editable details and related records.

The timeline is the source of truth for what happened with a contact.

People and organizations

A contact has a primary company, and can also be affiliated with other companies — each with a role (Advisor, Board Member, Investor, and so on) in the Companies panel. Its Deals tab shows every deal the contact is involved in: the ones it owns as primary contact, and the ones where it sits on the buying committee, each labeled with its role.

Recommended next steps

Each contact shows a short list of suggested next steps, built only from its real data — a document it opened, how long since the last activity, or a strong lead score with no open deal. When there is nothing pressing it simply says "on track". You can also draft a follow-up email with AI: it uses the contact’s own context (role, company, recent activity) and you review and edit before anything sends.

Lifecycle stage & lead score

Each contact carries a lifecycle stage (lead, prospect, client, and so on) and a 0–100 lead score computed from real engagement — activity, document views, and profile completeness. Both evolve on the same record; there is no separate "leads" table to migrate from.

The company (account) record

A company is the command center for the whole account. Alongside its contacts, deals, projects, and invoices, it rolls up the numbers that matter and tells you what to do next — all from the account’s own data, never made-up figures.

  • Account intelligence — a health band (healthy, developing, at-risk, or dormant) that always shows why it landed there, plus recommended next steps: an expansion opening on a customer with no open deal, a single-threaded relationship to widen, or an account that has gone quiet.
  • Financial rollups — open pipeline (and weighted), won revenue, cash collected, and outstanding balance, summed across every deal and invoice on the account.
  • Account activity — one timeline of everything across the account: activities, emails, and documents on the company itself and on any of its contacts or deals, plus lifecycle stage changes.
  • Hierarchy — set a parent company to build parent/subsidiary account trees; each subsidiary shows its own open pipeline.
  • Contacts by role — see who is who on the account (Decision Maker, Champion, and so on), with the primary contact starred.
