The client portal

What your client sees, and how PULSE checks it is really them.

What it shows

Turn the portal on from a project and share the link. Your client sees that account’s active projects, their tasks, and their invoices with a payment link — and nothing else in your workspace. Cancelled projects and anything marked personal are never included.

Verifying it is really them

The link alone no longer opens the portal. Your client enters their email and PULSE sends a 6-digit code, which only works if that address belongs to a contact on the account — so any of their colleagues on the account can get in, while a link found on a shared computer is useless to a stranger. Codes expire in ten minutes and can be used once.

How long access lasts

A verified session lasts up to 7 days and ends after 2 hours of inactivity. Someone on a public computer can tick “This is a shared or public computer” to end it when the browser closes, and there is a Sign out button in the portal header.

Taking access away

The project’s Client Portal card shows who currently has access and when they were last active. “Sign out all” ends every session while the link keeps working; “Rotate link” issues a new URL, killing every link you have already shared and signing everyone out. Turning the portal off removes it entirely.
